Our Church Council

Christ Covenant Church is an elder-governed congregation. Presently we have five men who serve in church leadership. They appear below in alphabetical order.
Elders
Dale Callahan is a health and fitness buff and works for Canada Post. He has studied theology by correspondence at a seminary level, and has extensive experience in ministering in correctional facilities. He and his wife Bonita have four children. Dale serves as vice-chairman of our church council.
Tim Gallant graduated from Mid-America Reformed Seminary in May 2000 and has pastored in Red Deer, Alberta and Conrad, Montana. He is the author of Feed My Lambs, has written dozens of theological and biblical articles and essays, and runs a web development business in Grande Prairie. Tim serves as council clerk.
George Plante is a partner in a local construction firm. He has extensive pastoral training, including Bible School and two years of seminary. George and his wife Rosalyn have six children. George is our council chairman.
Jamie Soles is a musician who has carved out his own niche with albums rich in biblical content, from obscure Scripture stories to memorable songs of Bible lists and much more. In addition to recording and doing concerts, Jamie teaches guitar and tunes pianos. Jamie and his wife Valerie have eight children, many of whom have sung on his children's albums. Jamie serves as our church's music director.
Deacon
Leo Wattel owns a construction and concrete finishing business in Grande Prairie. He has served as a deacon for many years. He and his wife Yolanda have eight children. Leo serves as church treasurer.
